Guidelines:
· Eligibility: The entry must be a short film with a duration of no more than 30 minutes. Participants are not limited by nationality.

· Film category: The entries can be drama films, documentaries, experimental films, or animated films. Each work can only be submitted to one category.

· Originality requirement: The entries must be original works, and the participants must ensure that they own all the copyrights of the works and must not infringe on the copyrights or other rights of third parties.

· Film format: The submitted competition film must be in high-definition format (minimum 1080p), and the supported file formats are MP4 or MOV.

· Subtitle requirement: Works that are not in English or Danish must be accompanied by English subtitles. Works without English subtitles will be automatically disqualified.

· Deadline for submission: all entries must be submitted online via the festival's official website by the specified time. Any late submission will not be accepted.

· Selection Notice: the Director or producer will be notified of the selection by email before the specified time. Those who are not selected will not receive further notice.

· Screening Authorization: Participants agree to authorize Aarhus International Short Film Festival to screen their works during the festival and allow them to be used for promotional purposes without additional fees.

· Intellectual Property: Participants must ensure that their submitted works do not infringe upon the copyright, privacy, trademark, or other legal rights of others. The legal responsibility arising from copyright disputes shall be borne by the participants themselves.

· Award Setting: The film festival has multiple awards, including Best Picture, Best Director, Best Screenplay, Audience Choice Award, etc. The decision of the film festival jury is final and appeals are not accepted.

· Disqualification: If any entries are found to violate any rules and conditions, or if the submitted materials do not meet the requirements, the film festival reserves the right to disqualify them from the competition.
